RESISTANCE - 10.26.2022

People protect what’s valuable. Vaults store gold. Hidden behind those thick steel walls is something that would drastically change a persons life should they possess it.

The obstacles, resistance, excuses we think limit us - no longer look at them as something out of your control that suppresses you. See them for what they really are - the enemy, your flesh: safeguarding a great and valuable resource that would drastically change your life should you breakthrough and possess it.

GET UP! Feel the resistance. Look at that obstacle. Hear the excuse. How long it’s kept you where you’ve been. Shift your perspective. See those things for what they really are. A vault safeguarding something that would drastically change your life. It’s successful if it keeps you out…..but don’t give up! Blow the doors off that obstacle! Stop at nothing until you crack that safe and take what it’s been trying to keep safe from you.

Satan knows this. He locks away in a figurative safe the things that would change your life…..in order to keep them safe from you. Because he knows that should you possess them, he wouldn’t be safe.

So wake up! Get out of bed! Go on that run! Write that book! Speak to that person! Start that business God placed in your heart! READ YOUR BIBLE. Make your alone time with God a priority! And when you feel that obstacle resisting you from what you’re pursuing, think of it as closed door that the enemy is feverishly bracing on the other side to keep you out of. BUT DON’T STOP. Kick that door open! Break open that safe and take what has been kept from you. For when you possess it, you will come to realize you aren’t stealing, you are taking back what was yours all along.

“Therefore I run in such a way, as not without aim; I box in such a way, as not beating the air; but I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that, after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified.”

1 Corinthians 9:26-27 NASB1995

“But have nothing to do with worldly fables fit only for old women. On the other hand, discipline yourself for the purpose of godliness; for bodily discipline is only of little profit, but godliness is profitable for all things, since it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come. It is a trustworthy statement deserving full acceptance. For it is for this we labor and strive, because we have fixed our hope on the living God, who is the Savior of all men, especially of believers. Prescribe and teach these things. Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe.”

1 Timothy 4:7-12 NASB1995

“Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”

James 4:7-8 NASB1995
